TRANS-SAFE
The AfRSO webinar on the TRANS-SAFE project took place on 21 January and brought together around 80 participants from across the road safety community.
The discussion showed strong interest in the project and its relevance for road safety work in Africa. The session introduced the TRANS-SAFE Regional Peer Learning Network, shared practical guidance on cargo securement and load capacity, and presented research on walking barriers for different commuter groups in Kigali.
Activities in Latin America

The second round of the E-Moviliza program concluded with four participating companies: RECIVECI, Mundo Mágico de la Mascota, Frutería Monserrate, and HDS Express.
During the pilot, these businesses from different sectors integrated electric vehicles into their daily logistics operations in Quito and surrounding areas, testing performance in both urban and interurban routes.
The experience provided practical insights into vehicle range, charging needs, and operational adaptation, contributing valuable learnings on the implementation of electric mobility in logistics across Ecuador.
