LeMesurier final event: Advancing zero-emission mobility

The LeMesurier project came together one last time in Brussels. Even though it was a final event, the atmosphere felt far from an ending. Partners, colleagues and supporters gathered to look at what the project has built and, more importantly, how its work can continue shaping the way Europe understands progress in zero-emission mobility.

UEMI joined the discussions in person through Shruti Raje, who represented our team and shared some of the insights gathered over the past months.

Finding clarity in a complex landscape

Across the room, there was a shared feeling that LeMesurier helped bring order to a space that can often feel scattered. By looking closely at dozens of 2ZERO projects and their KPIs, the project managed to draw connections, highlight patterns and give everyone a clearer view of what is happening across the wider ecosystem.

Partners also discussed the modelling work behind the project, tools that help translate technological developments into what they might mean for energy use, emissions and efficiency in the years ahead. It was less about the numbers themselves and more about understanding direction, uncertainty and possibility.

UEMI’s contribution

During the event, UEMI presented the work carried out on WP-1 and WP-3. Our role involved analysing six 2ZERO projects in more depth and creating visualisations that make complex datasets easier for partners to navigate. The aim was not only to show what the data says, but to make the story behind it more accessible, from infrastructure performance to deployment trends and the links between innovation and wider socio-economic benefits.

Shruti captured this well when reflecting on the range of perspectives brought to the table:

“The 2Zero project portfolio covers a wide range of domains… This diversity of approaches offered valuable insights into how varied methods can collectively enrich the overall assessment.”

Carrying the work forward

Although the project is closing, the sense of continuity was clear. The framework developed by LeMesurier gives future projects something solid to build on. It’s a starting point for teams who want to measure their own progress in a way that is transparent, comparable and aligned with Europe’s climate-neutral goals.

For UEMI, being part of this process reinforced something we value deeply: connecting evidence with real impact. The event was a reminder that meaningful progress often comes from collaboration, shared learning and the willingness to look at complex issues from different angles.

LeMesurier ends on paper, but its work continues in the projects that will follow and in the people who will keep using these tools to shape a more sustainable mobility future.
