Background

UEMI, with UNEP support, is implementing the second phase of the “Gender and Electric Mobility in Ecuador” project (E-WARMI). The goal is to promote electric mobility and reduce transport emissions through a gender lens.
The project supports women entering the transport, logistics, and e-mobility sectors by providing soft skills training to complement technical knowledge and improve access to economic opportunities.

What We Are Looking For
We invite proposals for the design and delivery of a training program focused on soft skills for 20–25 women in Quito, Ecuador. These women are receiving professional driver training or working with electric cargo bikes in logistics/recycling.

Training Content Should Cover (at minimum):
1. Human Rights & Gender Equality
• Gender and labor rights
• Workplace ethics and safety
• Harassment prevention and response
2. Self-Esteem & Leadership
• Communication and conflict resolution
• Critical thinking, creativity, resilience
• Leadership and teamwork
3. Financial Literacy
• Budgeting, saving, credit, insurance
• Customer service basics
Additional topics are welcome if aligned with the target audience and objectives.

Training Format
• Number of sessions: At least 1–2 per topic area
• Session length: Minimum 3 hours (weekends possible)
• Format: In-person preferred, hybrid optional
• Language: Spanish
• Coffee break: Include and promote local, sustainable options
• Evaluation: Real-life case-based (related to transport/logistics)
• Certification: Required for all successful participants
• Recordings: Provide access for those unable to attend live

2. Copy of Ecuadorian RUC
3. Technical proposal: Description of training content and methodology
4. Financial proposal: Detailed budget including trainer fees, materials, logistics, catering, etc.

Organizations must be legally registered in Ecuador. NGOs, civil society groups, educational institutes, and private companies are welcome.
