Call for Proposals: Support in Stakeholder Engagement for Gender-Responsive Mobility Planning in Kochi, India
The Urban Electric Mobility Initiative (UEMI) invites qualified organisations operating in India—preferably based in Kochi, Kerala—to submit proposals for the provision of technical services under the MobiliseHER project, funded by EuropeAid. The project aims to strengthen civil society engagement and promote participatory, gender-responsive mobility planning in Indian cities, contributing to equitable, safe and low-carbon urban transport systems .
The selected contractor will support UEMI in implementing project activities in Kochi, including stakeholder mapping, participatory workshops, capacity-building programmes for civil society organisations and local authorities, gender-disaggregated data collection and analysis, and the co-creation of locally adapted gender-responsive mobility measures . The assignment will also involve contributions to knowledge products, public exhibitions, and policy dialogues between EU and Indian partners.
Eligible applicants must demonstrate proven expertise in sustainable urban mobility, gender equality, participatory planning and stakeholder engagement, with strong experience in Kerala’s institutional and social context. Proposals should outline the methodological approach, staffing plan and timeline for implementation.
The contract period will run from July 2024 to January 2027, with core activities completed by December 2026. Interested organisations are invited to submit their technical and financial offers in line with the Terms of Reference.
