About the Project:

The eBRT2030 project is at the forefront of sustainable urban transport, aiming to revolutionize electric Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems. We are committed to demonstrating the feasibility and benefits of a new generation of eBRT systems that are economically viable, automated, and connected. This project will highlight the applicability of these innovative solutions in diverse urban contexts, with demonstration projects in selected cities across Africa and Latin America.

 

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Highly motivated students enrolled in a Master's program, with a strong interest in sustainable mobility and urban planning.

  • Eager to learn and apply knowledge in a practical setting, contributing to a positive environmental and social impact.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in English language and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills to synthesize and communicate concepts.

  • Capacity to work independently on multiple assignments simultaneously and adapt to changing demands and circumstances.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Must uphold and demonstrate gender-sensitive attitudes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on eBRT systems, sustainability practices, and urban mobility trends.

  • Report Writing: Assist in drafting reports, documenting project progress, and synthesizing research findings.

  • Meeting Coordination: Attend and document meetings with the project consortium and the broader team.

  • Content Development: Create PowerPoint presentations and other materials to communicate project findings and updates.

  • Communication: Maintain regular contact with the project team and contribute to effective collaboration.

  • General Creative Engagement: Participate in dissemination activities, contribute to social media activities, manage posts on Twitter and LinkedIn, support creative content development and update the WIX website. 

  • Gender and Transport: Show interest in gender-related issues within the transport sector and contribute to gender-sensitive project approaches.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in research projects or internships related to urban planning or sustainability.

  • Basic understanding of electric mobility and BRT systems.

  • Creativity and a proactive attitude towards learning and contributing to innovative solutions.
