Office Assistant at UEMI, the Mobility Hub of the Urban Living Lab Center

The Urban Living Lab Center is co-hosted by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, TU (Technical University Berlin) and the Wuppertal Institute. 

About us:

The Urban Electric Mobility Initiative is a Non-Profit organization, which has been launched by UN-Habitat and is building on international activities in the areas of sustainable urban development, energy, mobility, and focusing on the equal access provision of urban basic services in Latin America, Asia and Africa. 

 

Office Assistant

We are looking for part-time support for UEMI to ensure smooth office operations. 

Salary: 1.000 - 1.800 Euros per month (part-time) before taxes and social insurance fees (depending on experience and/or University enrolment)

Hours: 20 per week

Vacation: 18 days of leave per full year

Main Tasks:

  • Office management 

  • Preparation of meetings and workshops 

  • Assistance with preparatory bookkeeping

  • Assistance with staff contracts

  • Contact person for colleagues

  • Timesheet management

What we expect from you:

  • You are an empathetic, open-minded and communicative personality with a lot of team spirit and positive charisma

  • You have completed commercial training or are an ambitious career changer with experience in the field of assistance and office management or a student in that area

  • You have a reliable command of all MS Office applications and have a good basic technical understanding

  • You work in a structured, responsible, independent and solution-oriented manner

  • You have very good knowledge of English (written, spoken)

  • We also encourage student enrolled at BWL, VWL or similar
